 34 initiatives is about teaching underprivileged youth a skill or two.


WORKING WITH UNDERPRIVILEGED YOUTH IN MALAYSIA

  • 34 hosts talks, visits, discussions for members of welfare homes in the effort to offer them more exposure to different fields of craft, skill and opportunities in life
  • 34 conducts targeted workshops for participants from individual homes according to their needs.
  • Corporate sponsors can assign a home or select a home from the JKM database
  • Corporate sponsors will sponsor the workshop fees and materials
  • All items produced at the workshop can be sold at the 34 COMMUNITY STORE should they wish to
  • All proceeds in cash go back to the sponsored home

  • 34 offers various forms of workshops that can be tailored to help you achieve your CSR objectives
  • 34 wants to help you reach out to underprivileged youth and homes in need
  • Workshops can be conducted at the studio or at your selected venue

NASOM

The National Autism Society of Malaysia (NASOM) is a society formed in 1987 by a group of parents and professionals with the aim to deliver lifespan services to the community of persons suffering from autism. It was registered on 3rd March 1987 as a national charitable organization and it strives to provide a range of support services to assist people living with autism, especially children and their immediate family members.

 

34+NASOM / PROJECT 02 (nasom leather accessories)

  • Translate NASOM sketches into 4-6 artworks that can be used to make brass moulds to decorate a range of leather accessories.
  • Produce a collection of leather coasters debossed with Nasom member art for sale.

 

34+NASOM / PROJECT 03 (workshops activities for nasom members)

  • Leather craft workshops to teach NASOM educators basic leather construction techniques and then conduct classes at their centres.
  • Teachers will be evaluated by 34 before test workshops are conducted.

HOME OF PEACE

Home of Peace (Pertubuhan Rumah Kebajikan Kanak-Kanak Home of Peace Kuala Lumpur, 2079/95 - WP) is a registered welfare home located in Kuala Lumpur. This home was founded in 1992 to provide a stable environment for girls from underprivileged backgrounds and provide education as a means to a better life for themselves. This is home to 19 children from ages between 5 months to 17 years.
